An e-commerce platform covers the common part of a store, but every operation ends up hitting a rule the platform doesn't foresee — usually when the business grows, starts serving B2B or needs to talk to another system.
When the rule doesn't exist on the platform, what's left is a manual process — or the sale that doesn't happen. Switching platforms is rarely the answer: what the operation needs is to extend what it already uses, adding the commercial or operational rule, or the integration, that's missing.
WiseMage builds plugins, extensions and integrations that fold these rules into the operation, without replacing the platform. The needs are of quite different kinds — commercial, logistics, integration — and that variety is what the project shows. Much of this experience was built on Nuvemshop, but the same principle applies to other e-commerce platforms.
